The battery pack was quite a lot cheaper and from a brand which is known worldwide. Instructions for initial charge of the powerpack were again very straightforward and my laptop is now functioning very well without being tethered to the mains power supply. I recently bought a replacement battery for my laptop - which the manufacturer could not supply, saying my laptop model was obsolete. So instead of buying a new laptop from HP, I bought a new battery from Duracell, laptop is working perfectly, much better value for money.
