Battery is a perfect fit and returned the laptop to full capacity

My apple mac air began to underperform as the battery was getting seven years old. After obtaining quotes from repair shops and the web, I deduced to go for a highly recommended Duracell battery which was compatible with my laptop model and make. Installation was no problem at at, since the battery arrived with two tailor made screwdrivers; youtube videos, were very helpful with how any average individual could do the replacement at home. Now some three weeks later, I am delighted, as the laptop continue to work with full functionality and I saved over £80 installation charges too.

EXcellent quality and price

This is the second replacement battery I have fitted into my MacBook Air, the first Duracell battery, It works perfectly, Very Pleased.

Bought as a replacement for MacBook Air: Pro: 1. Video demonstration on replacement Easy to access original battery: two screwdrivers supplied - one for 10 case screws underneath - other for 5 internal battery retaining screws Remove battery tab and lift out old battery Replacement is the reverse of the above and took about 15 minutes (as fluff and dust was removed) Cons: There are no Cons, more be aware Care needs to be taken with the internal battery connector. Although I cannot comment on the full long term performance of this battery as it has only been fitted for a few days. I initially tried a battery from another company and it didn’t fit properly or anything, couldn't screw the case back together or anything then had a nightmare returning it, so I was reluctant to try another one and waste my time, but I’m glad I did try another one. This one fit the laptop perfectly and I managed to screw the lid back down without any issues. Turned on for the first time and it booted up as it nothing has ever happened. Checked the charge cycles and it had just the one which is what you expect. Great product with excellent service.

Finding a high quality replacement li-on laptop battery amongst the many (largely unbranded) products available is fraught with problems, as customer reviews testify. This 2-Power battery is one of the more expensive options, but I have been delighted with it. Fitting is easy, only needing the two supplied drivers - plenty of videos for this on the web. As the included instructions say, after two full charging cycles the battery was performing optimally and giving 7 hours run time. A SMC reset was required to get the 'wake on open' function working properly, but that was a legacy of problems accumulated with the old, worn out battery. So far no problems with the battery over-heating, and the laptop runs much cooler than it used to.

There were cheaper alternatives on the web but I decided to go for this one as it had good reviews and also I felt more secure buying from a big name company like Duracell. The battery was easy to fit although no instructions were provided; fortunately there are plenty of tutorials on youtube which were very helpful. Although only recently fitted the battery is holding it's charge well and seems to be working very well. Time will tell.

Packaging alone felt quite premium. Love the included magnetic pentalobe and torx tools, as this made life so much simpler given how tiny the screws are. Battery capacity was well above advertised and is a day and night difference from my aging original battery. Worth every penny making an old MacBook feel somewhat new'ish again.
