Although this is an alternative battery for the Canon LP-17 plse ensure you read All about this, i bought these but on receiving them i found that the Canon charger dosen’t charge them, you need to purchase another charger.

Battery was listed as being equivalent to Canon LP E17, but is different in three respects: 1) Does not work with Canon Battery charger (2) Camera dose not register state of battery charge. (3) Duracell battery is 7.4 volts, Canon LP-E17 is 7.2 Volts. Not satisfied, as I had to purchase a Duracell charger to enable use of battery

While the battery may store the 950mAh the name suggests, it fails to indicate a partial charge and gives no indication of whether it is charging or not, nor does it indicate that it has finished charging. Otherwise, it looks very battery-like and fits the camera a treat.
