The first charger battery have swelling at the base The voltage is not the same as disposable battery's Are smoke alarm don't like them and one of are items have a battery gauge low gauge .This indicated low power straight of the charger. Duracell replaced the charger and battery free of charge but the battery is not as powerful as a disposable one 1.2v compered to 1.5v I won't be bothering to replace them when they fail
