The battery gives good charge and it's great being able to use the laptop for a 2-3 hours and not be tethered to a power cable. I don't know how the battery compares to the original because I think mine was faulty from day 1. It doesn't quite fit as snugly as the original battery but it's perfectly fine and not really noticeable.
