We all know how lively puppies are, but even they cannot last as long as a Duracell Bunny.

Powered by a coppertop battery the Duracell Bunny keeps on drumming, while the puppy finally snoozes.  The Bunny even survives a few nibbles from the puppy.

Worlds Largest Chocolate Duracell Bunny

The World’s largest chocolate bunny has been created in South Africa by artist, Harry Johnson.  This chocolate bunny is an exact replica of the iconic Duracell Bunny.

The chocolate bunny is 3.82 m tall (12ft 5in) and weighs a whopping 3 tons (2,721Kg) setting the new world record for the largest chocolate bunny.  The previous record was by Brazil with the bunny weighing in at 2.8 tons.

To prevent the chocolate from melting the bunny is stored in a special perspex housing with a cooling system.  After a week, the chocolate bunny is going to be broken down and 250 underprivileged children will get a chance to taste it.

You have seen the adverts where the Duracell Bunny has battery on his back whether he is mountain climbing or running around the city.  So, just wondering how many batteries it would take to keep a bunny this size going, or would it be one humongous D size battery?

It seems that many of you like the catchy tune featured in the current Duracell Ultra commercial – you know, the one with all those Duracell Bunnies.  Since we first featured the video of this commercial on our post, Duracell Ultra Bunny Twister Commercial, we have been inundated with positive feedback and requests to reveal the identity of the artist.

After a spot of investigation we were able to reveal in our post, Duracell Bunny Fusion Ad Music, that the music was commissioned and created for Duracell by Apollo Studios.  Unfortunately, at the moment Duracell have no plans to release it as a single or for download.

Remember the earlier blog post about the “Maltese Mountain Climbers and the Duracell Bunny”, well they will be at it again next year when they attempt to climb Mount Everest.  According to the Malta Independent, Duracell will be committing itself to donate 10 cents with the purchase of any pack of Duracell batteries.  Obviously, this only applies to purchases made in Malta.

So, if you are reading this post from Malta or planning a short trip to Malta between now and March next year, don’t forget to buy your Duracell batteries.

The Challenge 8000 team made it successfully back from Mount Cho Oyu this October and will attempt Mount Everest, next year.  They just keep on climbing like the Duracell Bunny powered by Duracell Batteries.  You can read more about their exploits on the Challenge 8000 website.
